Formerly known as the National Utility Locating Contractors Association, we are now “Nulca – representing utility locating professionals”. Nulca was formed in 1994 by several contract locating companies to advance locating throughout North America. In 1996, Nulca published its first Competency Standard for training utility locators. This guideline has since become the industry standard and is now in its fifth revision. It serves as the basis for the Nulca Accreditation/Certification program, rolled out in March 2016 through a partnership with NSF, the industry leader in safety-based risk management solutions and verification.

Nulca also works closely with numerous industry associations and organizations to prevent utility damages as well as to promote safety and enhanced communication. Nulca will continue to work to promote professional locating from the individual technician to the largest company. Our members include contract locators, in-house locators, pipeline companies, private locators, SUE contractors, vacuum excavators, regulators, one call systems, manufacturers and suppliers and many others.

Plumbing Contractors Association

Our mission is to promote causes and policies to improve the local plumbing industry and help our members to successfully conduct business. We offer services, education, and guidance to our members. Over the last several years , the Plumbing Contractors Association has made great progress and improvements on many fronts but there's much more to be done and membership and active participation needs to grow to accomplish our goals. The Plumbing Contractors Association is its members! Currently, many of our members are in need of qualified technicians and ambitious young people who are willing and able to be trained in our trade. This is a national concern. Over my 35 year career, I've witnessed our society create a negative bias towards tradesmen and people who work with their hands. Our schools quit teaching hands-on skills decades ago. As a result, we need more qualified people to build and maintain the structures and systems. A strong association can and must help on that front. We ask all our members to assist the Plumbing Contractors Association by participating in our events, training programs, affiliates' programs, meetings and by encouraging non-members to join us so that our collective influence may grow larger. We ask that you support our Associate members by using them when your business is in need of their services.
